Mezzanine is a series of images with no beginning and no end. Mezzanine floor is located between the ground and first floor. This floor “in between”. Agata Kadenacy photographes her mother, who for 10 years is looking after Mr. John in London. The author began searching for a way to find a symbolic house of her mother. By images, she is trying to show the “feeling” of being “in between”. Agata uses abstract frames trying to locate the character of images beyond time and space to highlight the state of detachment from home.
